报告题目：Boussinesq systems for water waves: Patterns and Blowup
报告摘要：In this talk, I will present the Boussinesq systems which sysmatically fills the gap between Euler’s equation and the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) equation. The well-posedness results will be brifely summerizecd and a numerical results on a blowup solution is presented. The theoretical proof of existance of 2D bi-periodic traveling patterns and tri-periodic standing wave patterns is demonstrated and the results are compared with labrotary and field observation.
报告人简介：陈敏，宁波东方理工大学教授，计算数学领域专家，长期从事非线性波、数值分析、偏微分方程等方向研究，1978年进入北京大学数学系学习，后赴美获普林斯顿大学航空航天系硕士、印第安纳大学数学博士学位，1991年开始，陈敏先后任职宾夕法尼亚州立大学、中佛罗里达大学，2002年开始任职普渡大学数学系，先后任副教授、教授，至2025年回国任教宁波东方理工大学。
