报告题目：Recent developments on chromatic and homomorphism thresholds
报告摘要: The problem of chromatic and homomorphism thresholds study the structure of dense graphs with a forbidden subgraph. Deep connections of these classical extremal problems with the theory of VC dimensions and discrete geometry have been found recently. I will survey some of the recent results on this topic.
报告人简介：刘鸿, 现任韩国基础科学研究院(IBS)首席科学家, 并担任极值及概率组合研究中心(ECOPRO)主任。2015年获得美国伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳-香槟分校(UIUC)博士学位, 2019年获聘英国华威大学终身教职。2019年入选英国研究与创新署(UKRI)“未来领袖学者计划”(Future Leaders Fellowships), 2025年荣获国际基础科学大会“前沿科学奖”(Frontiers of Science Awards)，现任SIAM离散数学杂志(SIDMA)编委。研究涵盖极值组合、概率组合、图论、离散几何和组合数论等多个领域，其成果发表在Journal of the American Mathematical Society、Forum of Mathematics Pi、Journal of the European Mathematical Society、American Journal of Mathematics、Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society、Journal of Combinatorial Theory Series B、Combinatorica等顶尖期刊, 累计发表论文 70 余篇。
